Delivery across North Central Florida or pickup at our Williston farm. How delivery works.
Peanut hay, locally grown in the Southeast and baled into 2-string bales. High protein, soft texture, naturally palatable even to the pickiest horses. A favorite for goats, breeding cattle, and horses who need a calorie bump without the sugar of coastal or Bermuda grass. Peanut hay grows close to home so it lands in the feed room fresher than western hay, and at $18 per bale it's the most affordable high-protein forage in our catalog. Lab-tested per lot. Delivered across Williston, Ocala, Gainesville, Dunnellon, Hernando, Belleview, and the rest of our Central Florida service area. Local horse owners who've been priced out of alfalfa find peanut hay is the same feed value at less than half the cost.
“Best hay and great service! Quality is outstanding!! Our horses and goats are happy and healthy!!”

It can be used as a major forage source, but it is best balanced with other feeds. Watch for consistency in quality from load to load, and supplement minerals if needed. Talk with us or your vet about building a balanced program around it.
Peanut hay is a high-protein legume forage that works well for goats and cattle and is also a good option for picky eaters that turn their noses up at grass hay. Many owners use it to add protein and palatability to a feeding program.
Our peanut hay is locally grown in the Southeast. Unlike our Nevada-grown hay, peanut hay is sourced from regional growers, which keeps it fresh and supports local agriculture.
Both are high-protein legume hays, but peanut hay is the byproduct forage from peanut farming and tends to be a more affordable protein source. Alfalfa generally tests higher and more consistent in protein. Many owners choose peanut hay for goats and cattle and reserve alfalfa for horses with higher demands.
Many horses do well on quality peanut hay as part of a balanced diet, and picky eaters often like it. As with any forage, introduce it gradually, feed clean leafy bales, and work with your vet on the right amount for your horse. Ask us for the current quality on the load we have in stock.
